3-Time Champions CD Nacional Return To Oceanside
Madeira, Portugal based PRO Beach Soccer Club will return to The Beach Soccer USA Cup in Oceanside this coming May 15-16-17, 2015 to fight for a 4th consecutive Title.
CD Nacional will embark on their 5th consecutive trip from Europe towards Oceanside in order to defend their Title. As a 3 Time Champion, CD Nacional is the team to beat at The Beach Soccer USA Cup. In 2011 they participated in Oceanside for the first time and finished in 4th place. They returned every year since and they have gone back to Portugal with the Championship 3 years on a row.

CD Nacional is a fan favorite in Oceanside not only for their endurance & skills, but also for their charisma & affection towards the fans. Team captain Joao Jasmins said that playing in Oceanside is like playing at home, that’s an advantage that helped them conquer their 3rd consecutive title in 2014 over Portland BSC and that also helped them sweep away all individual awards with Lucio Carmo as MVP, Pablo Perez Gonzales as the Golden Toe and Joao Carlos Delgado as the Golden Gloves.
The Champions of this year’s PRO event will be awarded $10,000 USD, second place team will be awarded $5,000 USD, third place team will be awarded $2,500 USD, fourth place team will receive $1,300 USD and an additional $1,200 USD will be awarded evenly between the PRO event’s MVP, Golden Gloves (Best Goal Keeper) and Golden Toe (Top Scorer).
The Beach Soccer Championships has become the premier beach soccer destination on the west coast and is among the top beach soccer events in the nation. The event has an economic impact on the city of Oceanside in excess of $3 million during the 3 day event, with daily attendance exceeding 35,000 daily visitors. PRO games are played in our Beach Soccer Stadiums which have a capacity of 1,500 attendees and the PRO games are streamed live via www.BeachSoccerTV.com.
