Fulham Parters with Speed to Burn for San Diego Summer Player Development and ID Camp
Paul Wright’s Speed to Burn Soccer Summer Camp with Special Academy Coach Gavin Taylor from Fulham FC.
Player development takes on a very special elite level when training with an ELP Academy coach from London, England, especially when it is combined in sessions led by a former professional soccer star. This summer, youth soccer players will have the ability to experience this high level training when Speed to Burn hosts another player development soccer camp with Fulham Football Club.
Fulham FC is a professional soccer club based in London’s Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The English soccer club first kicked off in 1879, and has an outstanding youth academy.
Speed To Burn founder, Paul Wright, will work again Fulham FC’s Academy Performance Coordinator and Skills Coach Gavin Taylor this summer and offer an exclusive soccer-training program. Taylor is also Fulham Youth Academy‘s Under 18 Academy Assistant Coach.
Speed To Burn is proud to work with the famed Fulham Youth Academy and add another level of player development and identification. Speed To Burn’s Soccer Camp is geared for competitive soccer players. Registration will be available online soon. Space is very limited.
For many Southern California soccer fans, Paul Wright is the most well known, legendary player of the indoor game. Wright has multiple championship rings from his years of scoring goals for the San Diego Sockers. What many do not realize is Wright is also a trainer of both professional athletes and elite youth players.
Wright hosted the Fulham Youth Academy with Gavin Taylor in 2012 and 2013. While the program is a soccer camp, elite player evaluation and identification does occur and Taylor has flown two youth soccer players to Fulham FC for further evaluation and training.
“It is wonderful coming to Southern California to work with Paul and train,” said Taylor. “I enjoy working with American players, they are always very eager to learn.”
Obviously this EPL level soccer program is for elite players but when asked what level of soccer players should attend the program, Wright said, “We want passionate soccer players. You can’t teach passion. A kid has it or not. True passion for the game comes from within.”
“This player development camp brings together inside knowledge on academy training,” said Wright. “The players attending this soccer program will receive very high EPL level coaching and training. Gavin Taylor is a terrific coach and holds very up-tempo, high intensity and challenging sessions in which players are always very enthused.”
In addition to Speed To Burn’s comprehensive speed and agility training, this youth soccer camp will feature small sided games, scrimmaging, and position play. This special speed and soccer camp will incorporate technical training and ball skills into speed techniques; combining the two most important elements for successful player development.
Combining the training at Fulham’s academy with Wright’s Speed to Burn program is extremely important. “My expertise enhances the players performance capability and agility. Speed and reaction time is very critical on the soccer field. Players need to know how and when to explode on the field,” said Wright.
Wright and Taylor are looking for players who are highly competitive, want to make it on the professional circuit or move on to the next level of their performance. If you are a dedicated elite youth soccer players who wants to improve, this is an amazing experience.
