Khalid Arramdani Earns Player of the Week Honors
San Francisco Stompers FC forward Khalid Arramdani has been named the fifth Mitre National Player of the Week for the 2015 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season.
The Moroccan-born forward striker was honored after tallying two goals and an assist in the Stompers’ 3-2 win over FC Tacoma 253 on Sunday. Arramdani has a total of four goals this season in league play in addition to scoring against Major League Soccer (MLS) side San Jose Earthquakes in a preseason scrimmage on February 25th.
In 2013, he suited up in four games with the Stompers in NPSL play, starting in two matches. He scored his first NPSL goal against CD Aguiluchos USA at the young age of 19.
Following the 2013 NPSL season, Arramdani played his freshman season at Canada College. He put up impressive numbers, registering 22 goals and five assists. He was second among all California Community College field players in both goals and overall points in 2013. His productivity helped him earn 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire Junior College Men’s Division III All-America Second Team honors.
