GGWSL Host 14th Annual Anne Wagner Benefit Tournament
Golden Gate Women’s Soccer League will host the 14th annual Anne Wagner Benefit Tournament with proceeds given to non-profit organizations that benefit Bay Area women and girls through soccer. Soccer unites our world and it is always great to see a soccer tournament raise finds for important charities and non-profit organizations. Youth Soccer News: The Golden Gate Women’s Soccer League (GGWSL), the largest women’s soccer league in Northern California, is proud to announce our upcoming 14th annual Anne Wagner Benefit Tournament.
This year the event will be at the newly renovated Beach Chalet Athletic Complex in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on Saturday, August 20, 2016.
The tournament began in tribute to Anne Wagner, a past GGWSL player who was a dynamic leader for the league and had an incredible passion for the game which was inspirational for so many of the members.
The tournament captures the spirit, camaraderie and joy of women’s soccer that Anne portrayed and promoted constantly. In recognition of this, a portion of the proceeds are given to non-profit organizations that benefit Bay Area women and girls through soccer.
