1st Annual SilverLakes College Showcase Kicks Off in Norco
Updated 11.23.16 – Thanksgiving is around the corner and so are several youth soccer tournaments. This year, a new tournament kicks off on the holiday weekend and it has attracted elite girls teams from top youth soccer clubs from across the country. Thanksgiving weekend is well known as a time for highly competitive soccer showcases and this inaugural event promises to not to disappoint.
Building on the prestige of the SilverLakes complex, the new SilverLakes College Showcase launches this year and from what can be heard on the sidelines, it is going to be a huge success. Southern California’s Inland Empire will never be the same again.
Youth Soccer News: Southern California is a hotbed of youth soccer and everyone is always clamoring for more high quality soccer fields.
With soccer fields immersed in the sunny valley of Riverside, CA, SilverLakes was built to enable athletes to reach their full potential. In keeping with this mission, SilverLakes will convene its first girl’s “College Showcase” event, November 25-27, 2016 at its state-of-the-art facility in Norco.
The first annual SilverLakes College Showcase launches this Thanksgiving weekend, The all girls tournament will consist of teams from 2004 – 1998.
GAME CHANGER IN YOUTH SOCCER TOURNAMENTS
The SilverLakes College Showcase promises to offer a high level of competitive play and has attracted elite teams from top youth soccer clubs.
Clubs joining this first year include Slammers FC, Legends FC, Beach FC, West Coast FC, MVLA, Del Sol SC, Sereno SC, San Juan Spirits, LA Premier, Pateadores, Eagles SC, CDA Slammers, and more….. These youth soccer clubs have a strong tradition of developing high level players for collegiate soccer program and the national team.
College coaches from throughout the Country, as well as U.S. Soccer Technical Staff, will be onsite to evaluate the skills and abilities of elite young female soccer players as they look for scholarship recipients and national level talent. This is an important opportunity for aspiring and talented youth players.

Cal State University Long Beach, Gonzaga University, Oregon State University, Oregon University, Pepperdine University, Santa Clara University, University of California Santa Barbara, University of California Berkeley, University of California Irvine, University of California Los Angeles, University of Notre Dame, University of San Diego.
Gaining Maximum Exposure
Bringing technology to the soccer fields and allowing coaches, players and families to take advantage of a mobile app – this event is light years ahead of most youth soccer tournaments.
Silverlakes College Showcase has partnered with Total Global Sports to provide a fully integrated platform to assist players in managing all of their recruiting efforts.
The TOTALplayer Teen account is available for players ages 13 & up that are on their way to playing at the next level. With a Teen account, players can have full access to their personal player profile, request references and evaluations, upload videos, access the testing center, can purchase training videos, follow and communicate with college coaches and more.
While college coaches track and manage players, they will have the same tools to track, manage and email their select universities. Players will also be able to view stats about each college to make informed decisions.
The Fields
The SilverLakes complex is at 5555 Hamner Ave, Norco, CA 92880 and has a total of 24 high performance soccer fields.
The view of the mountains from the fields is spectacular. This grand facility was built to help grow the beautiful game. The state of the art features include LED lighting, several bathrooms and convenient parking. A small 5,000 seat stadium is planned for the future.
