Portland BSC Is Back With Their Eye On The Prize
Portland, Oregon based PRO Beach Soccer Club Portland BSC will return to The Beach Soccer USA Cup in Oceanside this coming May 15-17, 2015.
Portland BSC will once again make their presence known in Oceanside when they return to fight for a piece of the $20,000 cash purse. Portland BSC made headlines in 2014 as they earned a well deserved spot in the Championship game after a thrilling 9-8 victory over Fusion FC in the semi-final game. 2015 will be the 3rd straight participation for Portland BSC at The Beach Soccer USA Cup, in 2013 they finished in 8th place & in 2014 they finished in 2nd place.
Portland BSC returns for their 3rd straight appearance at the PRO event, The Beach Soccer USA Cup will host 16 PRO teams and all games will take place in our 2 Beach Soccer Stadiums which have a capacity of 1,500 attendees per stadium.
The Champions of this year’s PRO event will be awarded $10,000 USD, 2nd place team will be awarded $5,000 USD, 3rd place team will be awarded $2,500 USD, 4th place team will receive $1,300 USD and an additional $1,200 USD will be awarded evenly between the PRO event’s MVP, Golden Gloves (Best Goal Keeper) & Golden Toe (Top Scorer).
In their 9th year anniversary, The Beach Soccer Championships has become the premier beach soccer destination on the west coast and is among the top beach soccer events in the nation. The event has an economic impact on the city of Oceanside in excess of $3 million during a 3 day event, daily attendance at the event exceeds 25,000 daily visitors and the PRO games are streamed live via www.BeachSoccerTV.com.
