Santa Clara’s Women’s Soccer Welcomes 11 New Players for 2016 Season
Santa Clara University announce 11 players sign National Letters of Intent to play for the 2016-2017 season. The Broncos come off another successful season in 2015 finishing number 18 in the final RPI and making its 25th NCAA tournament appearance to conclude the season.
Soccer News from Santa Clara University: Santa Clara Women’s Soccer announced 11 players that signed National Letters of Intent for the 2016-17 season on Wednesday. The Broncos will welcome Machaela George, Madison Gonzalez, Natalie Kennedy, Kate Kircher, Courtney Ogren, Katie Pengel, DB Pridha, Lillie French, Sophie French, Audrey Hegardt, and Kaitlyn Parcell next season.
“This is going to be a great recruiting class for Santa Clara,” said Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith. “We have 11 players new players for next fall. It’s a deep and talented class. It has key players in various positions and has several players who will not only compete for playing time, but compete for starting positions. That’s saying quite a bit considering our team had such an amazing year last season and is returning so many people. We’re all very excited.”
