Nationwide Beach Soccer Series for 2016
Sand, sun, soccer and fun – what more could you ask for? The tenth annual Soccer in the Sand (SITS) tournament kicks off May 22nd in San Francisco, California. A two-day small sided 5v5 beach soccer tournament played in the sand with goalkeepers.
There is nothing more fun that playing soccer in the sand. Ask any player — or family. Beach soccer rocks.
Playing in the sand creates a totally different experience, and much of the action takes place in the air. Great for strength and stamina, beach soccer is amazing at building endurance and a great way to kick of the Summer Soccer Tournament season.
Games consist of lots of touches and shots where players can show off their latest moves. The entire family is encouraged to come and enjoy the games and the beach. This is one soccer tournament you won’t have to drag the family to.
“Last year, SITS saw over 1,2000 total teams participate in Soccer in the Sand tournaments,” said Chris Lemay SITS Owner and Director. “This year in San Diego on Coronado Island we have teamed up with Nado Soccer Club and look forward to another great tournament on one of the finest beaches in America’s finest city. We are again expecting 100 teams to participate!”
