The LA Galaxy OC Summer Invitational
As summer tournament season nears the end, youth soccer players looking to take their skills to the next level will be suiting up for showcases across the country. The 2017 LA Galaxy OC Summer Invitational is preparing for kick off in early August as the Cal South Soccer Class I tournament welcomes top clubs for a weekend of soccer action.

With a chance to learn how to perform in a highly competitive environment and work well as a team, youth soccer tournaments offer more than just the change to create great memories — they provide great life lessons.
One of the most exciting youth soccer tournaments is the upcoming LA Galaxy OC Summer Invitational on August 5th and 6th. This tournament is for boys and girls in the U8-U19 age groups. Matches will be played at OC Great Park in Irvine, CA.
“We are extremely excited to host our first ever summer event,” said Tim Woodcock, LA Galaxy Orange County Director of Operations. “We will be using the same high-level procedures and standards used for the mega successful Orange County Tournament of Champions, which will put the OCSI on the map for future years.”
The event will welcome 244 elite youth clubs from five states for a weekend of soccer action. Three matches are guaranteed for attending clubs.
“We believe that we have all of the ingredients to ensure a fun, challenging and rewarding experience for all teams accepted in 2017 and it is our goal to grow the Orange County Summer Invitational into one of the top summer events in future years,” said Woodcock. “We can only achieve that by our firm commitment to perform at the very highest standards in everything that we do.”
