Soccer News: Pittsburgh’s Vincent Named USL Player of the Week
Pittsburgh Riverhounds midfielder Rob Vincent has been voted the USL Player of the Week for the 11th week of the 2015 season after he scored twice to help his side rally to a dramatic 6-5 victory against the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday night at Highmark Stadium.
Vincent earned 62 percent of the vote, which was conducted by a national panel of independent media representing every USL market. Vincent’s teammate Danny Earls finished second with 23 percent.

D – Taylor Mueller, Charleston Battery: Helped limit Wilmington’s attack down the left side as the Battery earned a 1-0 win
M – Raul Mendiola, LA Galaxy II: Scored the stoppage-time winner as Los Dos took a 2-1 win against Colorado Springs
M – Michael Nanchoff, Portland Timbers 2: Outstanding volleyed finish capped a two-goal performance in Portland’s win against Tulsa
M – Rob Vincent, Pittsburgh Riverhounds: Scored a pair of goals, including a 25-yard blast to tie the game in stoppage time, in his side’s 6-5 win against Harrisburg
M – Justin Portillo, Charleston Battery: Had the only goal in the Battery’s win against Wilmington, and was excellent in the center of midfield
M – George Davis IV, Richmond Kickers: Scored a goal and added two assists as the Kickers earned victory against New York
F – Brett Levis, Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2: Scored a fine individual goal, his first as a pro, as WFC2 earned victory against Arizona
F – Cameron Iwasa, Sacramento Republic FC: Outstanding work rate in attack, and was key as Republic FC earned a draw with Real Monarchs SLC
