Soccer News: Surf Cup Sports, home of the iconic Surf Cup Soccer Tournament and promoter of dozens of local youth and travel sports events, has agreed to be the Presenting Sponsor for the 55th Sportsmen’s Banquet, to be held on October 28th on the field at Petco Park.
As a part of Surf Cup Sports’ financial commitment to the event, they will make a $25,000 donation to the ALS Association of San Diego in the name of SDSU Basketball coach Steve Fisher. Coach Fisher will be honored that evening as San Diego’s Sportsman of the Year.
The $25,000 donation by Surf Cup Sports to the ALS Association and all future donations made through the Sportsmen’s Banquet to ALS will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Lucky Duck Foundation.
