Sockers Captain Named to San Diego Hall of Champions “Stars of the Month”
Soccer News: San Diego Sockers captain Kraig Chiles was named to the San Diego Hall of Champions “Stars of the Month” for December, 2015.
Chiles shares the honor as a headliner alongside Chargers running back Danny Woodhead and Arizona Cardinals’ safety Tony Jefferson. Twelve other athletes were also selected.
The striker had a stellar December in which he struck six goals and supplied 12 helpers in six games.
This run included a milestone goal on December 10th in the 8-1 victory over Atletico Baja in which Chiles surpassed Juli Veee for second on the Sockers regular season all-time scoring list with his 255th goal.
“It’s an accolade that’s well deserved,” said Sockers’ general manager John Kentera. “Kraig [Chiles] continues to evolve and develop as a complete player, not just a goal-scorer. It’s very fun to watch.”
