Hawaii Surf Standouts Attend Philippines National Team Training Camp
The Philippines National Team Training Camp kicked off in Southern California as Hawaii Surf standouts attend the five day training camp. The players that will be representing the Hawaii club include current Oregon Duck forward and youth players that have already kicked off a successful soccer career.
Youth Soccer News: Hawaii Surf Soccer Club standouts will be attending the Philippines National Team Training Camp held in Corona, CA from March 23rd to the 27th.
Of the players attending the training camp include three current Hawaii Surf players along with Taylor Kuroda who currently is in her freshman year at the University of Oregon. Kuroda has competed in 17 matches for the Ducks in 2015, scoring the game-winning goal against Fresno State and assisting the tying goal in the season-finale versus rival Oregon State.
Kaila Ambrosio, Kailee Rae Quartero and Nicole Olanda will all be training with the U16 Group during the duration of the camp.
Ambrosio is a freshman at Kamehameha and currently plays for Hawaii Surf 01G. Olanda is currently a freshman at Aiea High School and also plays for Hawaii Surf Soccer Club 01G. Quartero is the youngest out of the three and is currently a freshmen at Kamehameha Kapalama. She plays for Hawaii Surf 02G and recently verbally committed to the University of Rhode Island.
Kaila, Kailee Rae and Nicole recently competed at the Las Vegas Players College showcase and lost in the semi-finals. These youth players were recognized during the Hawaii College ID Camp and have already been contacted by numerous colleges as their soccer career kicks off.
