Fury FC Reveal New Kits Ahead of Season Opener
Ottawa Fury FC open its 2016 campaign this weekend as the club reveals its new adidas kits along with a multi-year partnership with Chartwells. The club opens up the 2016 NASL season versus the New York Cosmos setting up a rematch of the NASL Championship Final that was played last November.
Soccer News: When Ottawa Fury FC opens the 2016 North American Soccer League season on Sunday, they will be sporting an impressive new look that was revealed at The Arena at TD Place in front of season ticket holders, supporters groups, Fury Fanatics, fans and the media. In addition to the new kits, the club also unveiled multi-year partnership with Chartwells as the new kit sponsor.
“Today is an exciting day for Ottawa Fury FC,” said Club President and OSEG Partner, John Pugh. “We are thrilled to be working with partners, like adidas and Chartwells, that share our values and we are delighted to welcome Chartwells into the Fury Family.”
Chartwells, a member of Compass Group Canada, is the leading foodservice provider in the North American education sector, helping to build sharp minds and strong bodies with a healthful, balanced approach to school dining.
“With more than 600 elementary and post-secondary schools across Canada, Chartwells is reaching beyond the kitchen and dining environment to enrich the lives of the guests we serve,” said David Smith, Executive Vice President, Chartwells. “We are really proud to be associated with one of Ottawa’s leading sports teams to help us bring interactive programs that will engage students and help fuel and reward healthy lifestyle choices.”
The new home kit captures the clubs primary red colour – red jersey, shorts and socks – and also features a watermark of the Fury FC flame symbolizing the intense passion of Fury FC and their fans.
Fury FC will don their new away kit this Sunday in New York when they face the Cosmos in a rematch of November’s NASL Championship Final. The new away kits is a predominantly white kit with black trim across the shoulders – white jersey, white shorts, black socks – and like the home kit, will also feature a watermark of the Fury FC flame.
“Ottawa Fury FC deserves a kit design that symbolizes our passion, our strength … and our Fury … and these kits do that,” said head coach and GM Paul Dalglish. “I’m excited from what I’ve seen from our team during preseason and now we’re eager to kick things off this Sunday in New York with this impressive new kit.”
Fury FC and adidas announced a multi-year partnership back in February aligning the club with an iconic soccer brand whose pledge to athlete success is number one.
Ottawa opens the 2016 campaign April 3 in New York – a rematch of last November’s NASL Championship Final. Fury FC will host the expansion Miami FC in their home opener at TD Place on April 30.
