Seattle Reign FC Select Two in NWSL Distribution Draft
The NWSL Distribution Draft took place today as the Seattle Reign FC selected the rights to Ariana Romero and Veronica Perez. The distribution process provides teams across the league with an equitable process for distributing the rights to Distribution-Eligible Individuals in the league.
Soccer News: The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced that the rights to Ariana Romero and Veronica Perez were selected by the Seattle Reign FC in today’s Distribution Draft. As part of the new NWSL Player Distribution Process, which was announced on Jan. 15, teams were provided the opportunity to select Distribution-Eligible Individuals.
The NWSL Player Distribution Process provides an equitable mechanism for distributing the rights to Distribution-Eligible Individuals to teams in the league. The complete NWSL Player Distribution Process is available here.
The following Distribution-Eligible Individuals, whose rights were not selected by a Team, are now Discovery Eligible: Nkem Ezurike (Canada), Jonelle Filigno (Canada), Monica Ocampo (Mexico), Lauren Sesselmann (Canada), Bianca Sierra (Mexico), Melissa Tancredi (Canada), and Rhian Wilkinson (Canada).
