adidas’ “First Never Follows” Film Welcomes New Mercury Pack
Super cool and sleek silver hits the pitch – adidas releases the first video of its latest film series that corresponds with the unveiling of the new Mercury Pack boot collection. The “First Never Follows” film series features Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez and Mesut Özil as the first cleats of the pack, the X16+ PURECHAOS and X16+ PURECONTROL, are set to be worn on field at the 2016 UEFA Champions League in Milan next weekend.
Soccer News: adidas Soccer today launched the first video in its “First Never Follows” film series featuring global stars Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez and Mesut Özil.
The first film releases to coincide with the unveiling of adidas’ striking new Mercury Pack collection, a cutting edge range of cleats inspired by the trophies that players around the world strive to win in order to etch their names in history.
The first two cleats in the pack – the X16+ PURECHAOS and X16+ PURECONTROL – will be worn on field at the 2016 UEFA Champions League final, while the third cleat, MESSI 16+ PUREAGILITY, will be seen in action for the first time on the feet of the greatest player of all time, Leo Messi, at Copa America Centenario this coming summer.
The X16+ PURECHAOS received the chrome treatment and innovative design updates to harness speed. A DYNAMIC TECHFIT COMPRESSION upper keeps break-in time to a minimum by molding perfectly to the foot.
The NON STOP GRIP (NSG) finish and TECHFIT lacing system provide a glove-like fit, while the PURECUT SOCK SYSTEM, designed to hide the laces, offers an improved aerodynamic effect; a key element for explosive players like Suarez, who will wear the cleat as he aims to become the first Uruguayan to score 50 goals for his country at the Copa America Centenario in June.
