College Soccer Academy – High Quality College ID Camp
Preparing for the transition to college soccer requires dedication and access to universities that guide players in the right direction. The ability to have some of the best college coaches — all together at once — is usually not possible unless you are attending a College Showcase – and then your time to be seen is brief. The College Soccer Academy girls College ID Camp in Oceanside offers the opportunity to show off talents and get to know important college coaches.

Youth Soccer News: College Soccer Academy is holding a girls College ID Camp at the So Cal Sports Complex in Oceanside, California on July 12th and 13th.
College coaches from California Berkeley, Stanford, University of North Carolina, Washington State University, University of Washington, University of Utah, Loyola Marymount University, UC Santa Barbara, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, University of San Francisco, University of New Mexico, University of Hawaii, Peninsula College will be attending. In addition, other college coaches will be announced shortly.
The two-day ID Camp will consist of college programs of all levels with D1, D2 and NAIA universities in attendance to evaluate and train prospective players.
Southern California is synonymous with exceptional soccer, and college coaches are always excited about working with high quality players, so this should be a blast. With so many great schools represented from all over the country we are all looking forward to a fantastic turn out where there will be great competition, along with an opportunity to help each of the attending athletes grow their game,” says Neil McGuire, Head Coach of the University of Cal Berkeley Women’s Team.
The camp allows for individuals to be trained by some of the best collegiate coaches in the country and gain an insight into playing at the next level. Registration is expected to double from last year’s 100 players.

SoccerToday spoke with Chris Lemay to discover more on the College Soccer Academy 2016 program.
Diane Scavuzzo: Why should a player go to a College ID camp?
Chris Lemay, Associate Women’s Soccer Coach: College ID camps are beneficial for a number of reasons.
1) You have the ability to be coached by some of the best in the country. Coaches that have a lot of experience working with and developing the best. I run sessions at the college ID camps that we use at Cal, it gives players a chance to see what the training demand is like at the next level.
2) You get exposure to a number of different schools all at 1 time.
3) It is a two way street, you may think that you like an in particular school and that thought can either be confirmed after having the chance to work with that coach and get to know them or you may have second thoughts depending on the style you like and the coaching style of the programs staff?
Diane Scavuzzo: Is this an “ELITE” ID College Camp one with the top colleges coming to see really high caliber players? Or, are the highest caliber players already recruited?
Chris Lemay: There are really high level college coaches coming — expecting to work with and evaluate really high level players. With that said, there are different level programs, so whether your are interested in D1, D2 or NAIA there will be something for everyone.

Diane Scavuzzo: How young is too young to attend?
Chris Lemay: The camp is for rising 8th graders to rising seniors in High School.
Diane Scavuzzo: If you do not have a lot of money, why is this one of the best camps to attend?
Chris Lemay: It is better economically to be exposed to many programs at one camp than to have to go to a attend several camps at individual colleges, with only that program’s staff evaluating you.
College Soccer Academy provides players with the access to a variety of colleges in one single location in contrast to an ID Camp held by an individual university.

Each player will have the opportunity to be exposed to every coach in attendance. Sessions are designed to allow players the opportunity to experience real college training environments.
All participants will play in two 11 v 11 games on Wednesday afternoon, in front of our star studded staff as well as other DI, DII, DIII College Coaches that have been invited to our event.

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit. If you cancel 45 days or less before the start of camp, you will be charged 50% of your registration. If you cancel 45 days or more before the start of camp, you will be granted a full refund, except the $50 deposit.
Per NCAA recruiting rules our College Soccer Academy ID Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by age, grade in school, or enrollment cap. Each College Soccer Academy camp welcomes players from grade 7 to grade 12.
