New Jersey Youth Soccer Announce Eight Events for National Youth Soccer Month
NJ Youth Soccer will celebrate National Youth Soccer Month with a total of eight local events held throughout the month of September. The 13th annual Youth Soccer Month is dedicated to providing the public with education on the benefits of playing youth soccer as well as with resources to get involved with local programs.

Youth Soccer News: New Jersey Youth Soccer announced eight local events in support of National Youth Soccer Month. In September 2015, the National Youth Soccer Month campaign celebrates its thirteenth year of educating the public about the joys, rewards and benefits of playing youth soccer, and offers a variety of resources to get involved.
These eight events at NJ college soccer games will invite players to participate as ball kids, player mascots and an opportunity to play in a pick-up game at half time.
Check in for these opportunities will begin a half hour before the start of the game and will be on a first come first served basis. More details about these free events are available here:

“NJ Youth Soccer is excited to partner with these great schools and bring opportunity to the players throughout the state,” says Nelson Ramirez, NJYS Recreation Commissioner. “These schools boasts so many collegiate players who grew up in NJ and our young players will get to see how soccer can lead them to an invaluable educational experience while players the world’s most popular sport.”
The goals of Youth Soccer Month include:
- Raising awareness of Youth Soccer and the benefits of playing the game.
- Emphasizing soccer as the number one youth participation sport in America and a leading contributor to the healthy lifestyle of millions of American families
- Bringing kids and families of all ages and all abilities together for fun, friendship and fitness.
As part of its partnership with Sky Blue FC and New York Red Bulls, NJ Youth Soccer will also celebrate and launch its “Play of the Month.” This is an opportunity for NJ Youth Soccer players and teams to share their achievements and win a monthly prize from Sky Blue FC and the New York Red Bulls. This could be an individual goal, save, string of passes or a soccer activity that “celebrates success and achievement on the soccer field.” Click here for more details about this program.
