2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup Recap and Preview
The group stage of the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup comes to a close with the first round of the knockout stage taking place over the next two days. Brazil take on Iran in the first Round of 16 matchup at 6:30 p.m. ET in Bucaramanga, while Portugal face Costa Rica at 9:00 p.m. ET at Coliseo el Pueblo in Cali.

Round of 16 – Tuesday Recap
Russia cruised past Vietnam in the first Round of 16 matchup of the day with a 7-0 victory in Medellín. Sergei Abramovich’s brace added to the other five goal scorers filling the scoresheet for Russia.
Russia will face the winner of the Spain versus Kazakhstan matchup set to take place this afternoon.

Colombia and Paraguay played out a scoreless match that saw the host country bow out of the tournament in penalty kicks. Paraguay dominated possession 63% to 37% along with tallying 36 attempts on goal versus Colombia’s 21.
The win sets up Paraguay to take on the winner of Brazil and Iran who take the pitch this afternoon.

Round of 16 – Day 12 Preview
Defending FIFA Futsal World Cup champions Brazil take on Iran in the first Round of 16 matchup on Wednesday with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. ET at Coliseo Bicentenario in Bucaramanga.
Spain face Kazakhstan in the second match of the day at 6:30 p.m. ET at Coliseo Ivan de Bedout in Medellín.
The final match of the day will feature Portugal and Costa Rica at 9:00 p.m. ET at Coliseo el Pueblo in Cali.
All matches will air live on Fox Soccer Go/2G0.
