IberCup Comes to Dallas in 2017
Tournament season is approaching and IberCup USA is prepared to welcome some of the top academy teams in the world to Dallas. The international youth tournament will see teams battle it out for a chance to qualify for a future IberCup tournament, with locations for winners varying per division.
Youth Soccer News: IberCup USA is coming to Dallas as top teams from around the world travel to Texas for a chance to compete at the highest level and earn a spot in a tournament abroad.
Hosted by the Dallas Texans, IberCup will be held for boys U9 through U13 and will host top level international Academy teams such as Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and AFC Ajax. Liverpool from England and Nautico from Brazil have also just confirmed they will be sending their youth academy teams.
“The IberCup USA 2017 will be the Soccer Youth Event of the Year in the USA,” said Filipe Rodrigues, IberCup President and Tournament Director.
“The IberCup is currently one of the most important World Youth Soccer Tournaments on the Planet. Around 70 countries, more than 32.000 players, coaches and family take part in the IberCup tournaments,” said Rodrigues.
“The various IberCup tournaments take place every year for a week of competition, and offer fantastic experiences and extraordinary opportunities to compete with some of the TOP teams in the world,” said Rodrigues.
The FC Barcelona Academy is the most recent club added to the attending teams as La Masia surely lifts the elevation of play.
IberCup is one of the most prominent youth soccer tournaments in the world. With fantastic competition, a well run and professional organization and held in fabulous locations, the IberCup is a highly competitive series of impressive youth tournaments.
IberCup is hosted in various countries around the world with editions held in Barcelona, Poland, Scandinavia and Japan. Teams participating are able to enjoy sharing their love and passion for the beautiful game and relish a thriving soccer culture.
Pick up games spontaneously happen after group lunches and lifelong memories are made.
For American players specifically, the IberCup tournaments offer the unique opportunity to share the soccer pitch with youth players from around the world and watch outstanding teams play. Walking across the fields, players meet and mingle with their European counterparts — easily joining in on exchanges that cross the boundaries of language and nationality.
The application limit for IberCup USA is now open with a total 32 teams for each accepted for each age group. It is important to note that in previous editions the tournament has not been able to accept all teams wish to enter.

- The best USA team in Category A gets an slot in IberCup ESTORIL 2017 (Portugal).
- The best USA team in Category B gets an slot in IberCup SCANDINAVIA 2017 (Denmark).
- The best USA team in Category C gets an slot in IberCup JAPAN 2017 (Japan).
- The best USA team in Category D gets an slot in IberCup COSTA DEL SOL 2017 (Spain).
- The best USA team in Category R gets an slot in IberCup JAPAN 2017 (Japan).
