Xolos Gear Up for Postseason Run
Club Tijuana is gearing up for its postseason run as they prepare to head on the road to take on Club León this Wednesday. In preparation for its final regular season match last Friday, the Xolos welcomed supporters to Estadio Caliente for a chance to meet with the players during an autograph session.
Soccer News: Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles remain dedicated to their fans with the club inviting supporters to an autograph session prior to the club’s final LIGA MX 2016 Apertura season match.
After a training session, Yasser Corona, Emanuel Aguilera, Dilan Nicoletti and Ignacio Malcorra were at the autograph session last Thursday at the Calimax Zona Rio.
“It is always gratifying to both parts to mingle with them,” Corona said. “Not only did the stadium sellout after the unbeaten streak but also from the start of the season, fans were there. That is a very important thing to count on the fan’s support and that they feel part of the team.”
The Xoloitzcuintles were unable to win their final regular season match of the 2016 Apertura against Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz. The Tijuana side fell 2-1 on the road in the Week 17 matchup that was held at Estadio Luis “Pirata” Fuente on Friday.
The Xolos will now prepare for their quarterfinal match versus Club León on Wednesday, November 23rd at Estadio León.
