NPSL Welcomes Beaches FC as Latest Expansion Club
The NPSL will be making its way to Juipter, Florida, as Beaches FC joins the league for the 2017 season. Beaches FC ownership launched the club in order to provide college soccer players the opportunity to get professional coaching during the summer months of their offseason.
NPSL Soccer News: The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) has announced Beaches FC (Jupiter, FL) as its latest expansion team set to compete in the South Region’s Sunshine Conference.
“Beaches FC is a great addition to one of our most competitive conferences,” NPSL Chairman Joe Barone commented. “As an organization they bring a lot to the table and we are excited to have them as part of the NPSL. This is a big day for our fans and supporters in Florida.”BFC is led by Trevor Adair and Levent Guler. Adair served as head coach for the men’s program at Brown University and Clemson University. He had an impressive 57 players drafted in 14 years at Clemson, winning two ACC championships. Adair has also been a staff instructor and scout for U.S. Soccer for nearly 30 years, while he also holds a USSF “A” license.
Guler is a former national team player for Turkey and has appeared in 312 professional matches over a 12-year playing career. He currently holds a USSF “B” license and coaches at West Boca Raton High School.
“We bring a high level of players, coaches, and facilities to the NPSL,” Adair noted. “We hope to continue to promote a high level of soccer for amateur players during the non-collegiate season.”
Home games will be played at Benjamin Upper School, offering a FieldTurf playing surface, four locker rooms and seating for 1,000 fans.
