Rapinoe SC Makes Its Way Back to San Diego
Megan Rapinoe will be making her way back down to America’s Finest City on Thursday as she is joined by her team for their performance training event in partnership with the Del Mar Sharks Soccer Club.

Youth Soccer News: U.S. Women’s National Team star Megan Rapinoe will be returning to San Diego this week for a one-day soccer and performance training clinic for youth players.
The female event will provide its attendees with exposure to to premium performance training techniques (strength, power & agility movements) by Rapinoe and her crew as well as personnel from SKLZ who are experts in the soccer performance field.
The event will be hosted by the Del Mar Carmel Valley Sharks Soccer Club and in partnership with SKLZ, Nike Soccer and Vitamin Water.
“Any chance we get to work with great people like the Del Mar Sharks we take them up on it,” said Rachael Rapinoe, Co-Founder of Rapinoe SC and sister of Megan. “They were the first club that took a chance on us and brought us to San Diego. We are definitely grateful for their support.”
Event Details:
- Thursday, February 9th, from 5-8 P.M.
- Female players ages 8-18 years old.
- Registration fee is $150 per player.
The event schedule will include soccer and performance training techniques in partnership with SKLZ, U.S. Soccer, and international as well as NWSL professional experience.
“We are trying to find the gap in their training and fill it the best way that we can,” said Rachael Rapinoe. “For us, we find that performance training of player development is sort of missing in the youth game.”
