Register For the National Youth Coaching Course Coming to Long Island
New York Youth Soccer News: The course will be held in the soccer hotbed of Long Island
Every summer, the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) offers courses designed for those coaches who wish to take their game and their team to the next level.These high-level, nationally-recognized events are the qualifications demanded from those professional coaches making a living in the game.
Eastern New York is very pleased to again offer the National Youth Coaching Course at two sites in Nassau County, Long Island.
The National Youth Coaching Course is designed to provide club directors of coaching, youth coaches, physical education teachers and soccer administrators with the knowledge to successfully structure soccer environments for children aged 4-12. Candidates are videotaped for analysis during live training sessions.
- The role of the coach as a facilitator is explored
- The physical, mental and emotional needs and capabilities of players from 4-12 are explored
- The lessons from developmental psychology are explored
- The art of teaching is explored
Coaches must attend both weekends, June 23 to 25 and June 30 to July 2. The classroom setting will be at Upper 90 Long Island at 183 South Broadway in Hicksville while the field site is Field of Dreams in Westbury (424 Salisbury Park Drive). The cost is $820.

Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association: With over 100,000 youth soccer players–both boys and girls–and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association(ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 11 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators.
All levels of soccer are offered–from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer Association.
