XOLOS U17 Seek to Advance To Semis in Dallas
Club Tijuana’s U17 side is seeking to advance to the semifinals of Generation adidas Dallas Cup with their final group match scheduled for Tuesday. The young Xolos sit atop their group as they prepare to take on the New York Red Bulls – the club’s second MLS opponent.
Soccer News: Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles U17 will look to clinch a spot in the Generation adidas Dallas Cup semifinals this week.
The Xoloitzcuintles squad will face Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls in the final Group D match on Tuesday, April 11th. Club Tijuana is looking to clinch the group and earn a spot in the next round of the international tournament.
Coach Ildefonso Mendoza’s team is in first place in the group with five points after a win, a tie and earning an extra point in each game.
The Xoloitzcuintles beat Toronto FC 2-1 with goals by Carlos Ramirez and Omar Rosales. They also played to a 1-1 tie in their second game against Argentine side Estudiantes de la Plata with a goal by Omar Rosales.
Club Tijuana leads Group D with five points, Estudiantes de Plata is second with four, New York Red Bulls have three and Toronto FC has zero.
