Borussia Dortmund’s latest signing has made headlines – Borussia Dortmund has just signed Jadon Sancho on the final day of the transfer window.
Soccer News: On the final day of the transfer window, German Cup winners Borussia Dortmund (BVB) beat off competition from a host of top European clubs to secure the signature of 17-year-old English talent Jadon Sancho.
BVB reached a deal today with Sancho’s previous club Manchester City.
Sancho, who penned a longer-term contract at Borussia Dortmund, will go straight into the first-team squad at the eight-time German champions.
The attacker is currently a key member of England’s strong Under-18 side and the Under-17 team that finished runners-up at the European Championships.
“We are delighted that Jadon Sancho, who is one of the brightest prospects in European football, was determined to play for BVB, and will do so as well,” said sporting director Michael Zorc.
“We are convinced that we can help this very young player to develop his game further and strengthen our team in the mid-term,” said Zorc.
