New York City FC Has Named AT&T as the Club’s Newest Sponsor
The business of soccer is heating up and new partnerships are emerging as older ones are strengthened. This new multi-year agreement will see AT&T become the official wireless, high-speed internet and TV provider of New York City FC.
Soccer News: AT&T will also join New York City FC in communities across the five boroughs for live fan engagements as the new presenting sponsor of the Club’s Street Fleet. This includes the Club’s interactive marketing vehicle “Striker,” inflatable kickwalls and mobile video game tournaments – all brought to life by Club ambassadors.
“We are delighted to team up with AT&T,” said Jon Patricof, President of New York City FC. “AT&T is mobilizing the world’s game and as our newest sponsor, they will help bring fans even closer to New York City FC through digital and social content including a video series and pre-game Chalk Talks at Yankee Stadium.
“We are kicking off the partnership at NYCFC House, our new Pop Up shop in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, where AT&T will be expanding the Chalk Talk series beyond game day. AT&T has a strong commitment to improving fan experience and growing the game of soccer, and together we’ll bring that to New York City.”
“Our goal is to enhance the fan experience for everyone who follows New York City FC,” said Mark Wright, AT&T Vice President – Media Services and Sponsorships. “We love soccer and we’re excited to support the sport in our nation’s largest city.”
As soccer lovers, AT&T’s history of supporting the sport and its growth in the United States is also represented through its renewed sponsorship of Major League Soccer, a multi-year agreement that was announced earlier this year.
