Goal Five introduces its made for female soccer apparel line. The line is tailored to female athletes and will give five percent of profits to advance gender equality in soccer.
Women’s Soccer News: Today, Goal Five announced a first-of-its-kind apparel brand exclusively dedicated to women’s soccer. The new line includes both performance and lifestyle assortments designed specifically to meet the fit needs of female players on and off the field. The Fall 2017 collection is now available online.
“Until today there has never been a mission-driven apparel brand dedicated solely to celebrating the greatness of female soccer players,” said Co-Founder Carrie Kessler. “Goal Five is changing that paradigm by crafting premium gear that meets her specific needs and through our commitment to advancing gender equality in soccer.”
Goal Five, a name inspired by United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5, is built on a mission to ensure all women and girls have equal opportunity to play.
Partnering with global nonprofit streetfootballworld and its network of global partners,
Goal Five will dedicate five percent of profits to programs advancing gender equality in soccer.

The popularity of women’s soccer continues to rise. According to FIFA data, more than 30 million female athletes around the world participate in organized soccer with 15 million in the U.S. and Canada alone.
The numbers are projected to reach 40 million worldwide by 2030.
“Despite incredible growth, the women’s game still needs increased support,” said Goal Five advisor and former Captain of the U.S. Women’s National Team, Julie Foudy. “To close the gender gap, we all need to do more to support our female athletes.
Goal Five is not only setting the standard by making world-class gear specifically for her but also pushing the movement for equality with their give back model.”
Made with the highest quality fabrics and designed specifically for the female body, the Goal Five Fall Collection consists of nine core training pieces: tops, shorts, tights, over-the-calf socks, bra tops and a training jacket.
The brand’s lifestyle assortment includes full zip hoodies, pullovers, t-shirts, and snapback and mesh hats.
For men who support the women’s game, Goal Five offers two styles of casual t-shirts.
