Futsal State Cup for Boys and Girls
Futsal is a fabulous, fast paced indoor 5v5 game loved the world over. Futsal is known as one of the best was for youth soccer players to develop. The best professional soccer players in the world have played futsal including Ronaldo and Pele and the New Jersey Youth Soccer has expanded its programming with the launch of the game is becoming more popular across the USA.
Now New Jersey Youth Soccer is kicking off a new Futsal State Cup in early 2019.
“NJ Youth Soccer is thrilled to launch this tournament and offer additional programming for our membership,” said Evelyn Gill, NJYS President. “We see the growing interest in futsal and we look forward to providing this new opportunity with top level competition.”
Working with U.S. Futsal, NJYS is pioneering the State Cup for Futsal.
“We are delighted that NJ Youth Soccer is augmenting its programming with the Futsal State Cup,” said Alex Para, U.S Futsal President and CEO. “We look forward to supporting their endeavors and growing this tournament in the years to come.”
The NJYS Futsal State Cup tournament format will be 5v5 futsal.
Each team that enters will play at least three 30-minute games, with a semifinal and a final if a team advances to that stage.
The girls’ age groups will play their state championship event on Saturday, January 26, while the boys’ state championship competition will be held on Saturday, February 2.
Both the boys and girls events will be held at the state-of-the-art Sportika Sports complex at 150 Woodward Road in Manalapan Township, N.J.
The NJYS Futsal State Cup is created for teams in the U11/U12, U13, U14, U15 and U16/17 age groups.
Winners can also look forward to taking part in
U.S. Futsal’s prestigious Regional Championship event that will be held from February 15-19, 2019, at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, N.J.
