Spanish Forward From Iona College Drafted With 21st Selection
Ignacio Maganto, 23, spent four years at Iona College, where he scored 27 goals and notched 14 assists.
His senior year, he scored a career-high 11 goals while recording five assists en route to being named to the NSCAA All-Northeast Region First Team (First player in Iona College program history to earn the honor), ECAC All-Star First Team and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Year.
Born in Madrid, Spain, Maganto spent five years with Getafe CF before attending Iona College. He also was a member of Reading United A.C. in PDL in 2014.
