Celebrating the Success of Tozer’s Podcast on Futsal
It is a special celebration — Keith Tozer’s podcast, The World of Futsal, has reached a critical milestone. Over 100,000 downloads in less than a year. Listeners clearly enjoy his one-on-one interviews with the key influencers in futsal and soccer.
Futsal is a great game to play and one that gets every player into the action — the speeding ball crosses the court quickly and involves every player — and is great for skill development. Youth players love the fast scoring games in which they get multiple touches on the ball and professional players play futsal to improve and maintain their competitive edge.
Today, Futsal is enjoying new popularity all across the nation but for some, like Keith Tozer, he has known the joy of the game for decades.
As the former head coach of the U.S. Soccer Men’s National Futsal team, Tozer has helped pioneer futsal in America. Now, only ten months after the launch, Tozer can celebrate the well-deserved success of his new podcast, The World of Futsal — the highly popular podcast has reached a significant milestone with over 100,000 listeners.
The World of Futsal gives listeners a personal, behind the scenes look at the world of futsal and soccer. Tozer is a great interviewer and the podcasts are easy to listen to, almost as if you are invited into a private conversation between old friends discussing the beautiful game.
Besides his experiences in the game, what makes Tozer’s podcasts so successful is that he can talk to the heads of countries or the captain of a team of eight-year-olds with the same ease.
Tozer’s interviews with top soccer and futsal leaders are fascinating because of his depth of knowledge on the game itself, his experience on how to help players reach peak performance and his great life stories are intertwined with well-timed and relevant questions. As a FIFA instructor as well as a long time and highly revered coach, Tozer has traveled the world and has natural respect and appreciation for a shared passion for soccer and futsal bridge political, religious and socio-economic differences and make the world a better place.
Tozer has interviewed Anson Dorrance, Allie Long, Jon Parry, Alex Para, Lee Tschantret, Tom Byer, Simon Wright, Phil Salvagio, Mark Pulisic, Otto Orf, Soorena Farboodmanesh, Shep Messing, Shane Butler, Marcos Sorato, Mico Martic, Nick Perera, Danny Kelly, Rico Zulkarnain, Ryan Gozali, Dan Gaspar, Laurent Morel, Tony Elliott, Sean Bowers, and Mark Litton as well as many other highly influential people in today’s world.
SoccerToday Interview with World of Futsal’s Keith Tozer:
Diane Scavuzzo: What are your top five World of Futsal downloads?
Keith Tozer: Allie Long, Landon Donavan, Diego Guitozzi, Anson Dorance, and Javier Lozano.
Diane Scavuzzo: Who have been your favorite guests?
Keith Tozer: I have enjoyed speaking with and interviewing all of my guests so that is a really hard question to answer but if I had to pick a few of my favorite conversations, Landon Donavan, Anson Dorance, and Javier Lozano would definitely make the list.
Diane Scavuzzo: Why do you think your podcast has become so popular?
Keith Tozer: With the podcast industry growing rapidly and with very few podcasts dedicated to the game of futsal globally, we hit the bullseyes early on.

Then having the ability to interview some of the biggest names in the futsal world along with others like Tom Byer, Donovan, Dorrance, and Long really helped with the credibility of the show.
I also believe the quality of the guests’ interviews providing great insight into the game has been outstanding.

Add that all together, along with the great growth of the game internationally, and as we like they say in golf, we hit the sweet spot.
There is so much more growth to experience and the future of the World of Futsal, as well as the great game itself, looks very bright!
