Soccer Players Do Not Back Down After Court Ruling
There have been so many statements on the key ruling, but a strong voice that resonates worldwide is Julie Foudy’s. Here are a few of her statements.
Hard to imagine winning the FIFA World Cup last year and losing in court but that is the current reality. There is a lot of support for the women’s push for equal pay. Presidential candidate Joe Biden tweeting out support for the players and made headlines around the world, threatening to pull World Cup funding to U.S. Soccer unless the pay gap was equal — if he has that power.

One of the most iconic stars of women’s soccer is ESPN’s Julie Foudy — two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion plus Olympic gold medalist spoke out and share her thoughts on the topic.
Foudy joins Sebastian Salazar to explain why a judge has dismissed the United States women’s national team lawsuit for equal pay and what exactly counted against the players in the end.
