The “Inaugural Stadium Kit” inspired by the architecture of the New Crew Stadium and features Nationwide on the front as the partner
Columbus Crew SC unveiled its new community kit for the 2021 season. The “Inaugural Stadium Kit,” features a grey, white and gold jersey, gold shorts and gold socks. This community kit is inspired by the iconic architecture of the New Crew Stadium, featuring a grey and white pattern on the jersey reminiscent of the sharp, modern angles of the stadium which is set to open this July. The kit also features a “ColumbUS” logo and a State of Ohio transfer with a star at the location of Columbus. The left sleeve of the shirt features a commemorative silver MLS Cup Champions sleeve patch, along with two stars above the Crew crest.
Fans can reserve their jersey online at ColumbusSoccerShop.com and pick up in-store. The Crew SC Shop is set to hold extended hours from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET today, Tuesday, March 2 – Saturday, March 6. Jerseys are also available online at MLSStore.com.
In February 2020, Crew SC announced that it had partnered with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to feature a special Nationwide Children’s jersey for all competitions, with Nationwide becoming the Official Jersey and Insurance Partner of the Crew in 2021. The Black & Gold will continue to work with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, dedicating a month each year to champion “On Our Sleeves,” the movement to transform children’s mental health.
The Crew head down to Chula Vista, California on March 3 to begin the 2021 preseason before traveling to Orlando, Florida on March 21. Following the training camp in Orlando, the Crew opens the 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League on the road on April 8 against Nicaraguan side Real Esteli FC in the First Leg of the Round of 16, before hosting Real Esteli at home for the Second Leg on April 15. The Black & Gold are set to kick-off the 2021 MLS regular season in April with the League’s campaign beginning April 17.
