In Addition To ESPN, North American Soccer League Now Adds Local TV Presence
North American Soccer League (NASL) clubs have taken a step forward in the area of local television broadcasts, with partnerships announced in nine of the league’s 11 markets going into the 2015 season.
With the kickoff of the league’s fifth season less than 24 hours away, four NASL clubs have secured partnerships that will include broadcasting both home and away matches on local TV, while another five have inked deals to show either home or away matches in their respective markets.
“We’re very proud of all of our television partners, who do an amazing job of showcasing our matches to our local markets,” said NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson. “They have stepped up their commitment to the league by televising away matches, and there has been a lot of effort made in the offseason to upgrade every aspect of those broadcasts.”
