San Diego’s National Premier Soccer League Team
Soccer News: The newly announced NPSL expansion team Albion SC Pros completed their first set of tryouts for the 2016 team on December 19th. Albion SC Pros is an extension of the nationally recognized and successful Albion SC competitive youth club.
2016 will mark the inaugural season for Albion SC Pros and the first time the organization has had a professional offering for players. These tryouts gave all players interested the chance to make the 2016 inaugural team. Executive Director and General Manager Noah Gins expected to unearth some hidden gems in the tryout process.
“When I was a pro player before in San Diego, we used to get up to 500 players out every year for tryouts and the talent was incredible. We are looking forward to gathering the best San Diego has to offer and competing for conference, regional and national titles right out of the gate,” commented Gins.
And the Albion Staff were not let down. “It was a fantastic day at the first day of tryouts,” said Nick Surface, Director of Operations and Marketing for Albion SC Pros. “We are always amazed at how universal the game is. We had players from Honduras, Iraq, Holland, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and America all showing what they’ve got. It really is the world’s game.”
