Southern California based Albion Soccer Club’s Technical Director Noah Gins wants to build the best youth soccer club in America. Cal South 2015 Sports Authority Player of the Year:
Marcus Norris
Norris has played for Albion SC since 2012 and played for Manchester SC from 2009-12. He has also been a Cal South ODP participant since 2009 and in the Region IV ODP pool.
Norris tweeted the day after the Cal South Awards Banquet, “Last night was one to remember”.
A senior at Helix Charter High School, Norris has signed and will be attending Santa Clara University on a soccer scholarship in the fall.
“I chose Santa Clara because of the academic excellence, the graduation rate, and the hire rate upon graduation,” said Norris. “Santa Clara has a great environment and the soccer program has a history of excellence. It is located in the Silicon Valley near family and friends.”
Trails Set For Boys 2001-2002
The Academy is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and the top youth clubs around the country to provide the best youth players in the U.S. with an everyday environment designed to produce the next generation of National Team players.
Albion SC will conduct open trials for eligible players in the 2001-2002 boys age group. The trials will be conducted between April 15th-May 1st.

Tony Dicicco Joining Albion SC for Girls Tryouts
Tony Dicicco will be assisting Albion SC coaches for the girls Tryouts.
Tony DiCicco is the former U.S. Women’s National Team head coach who led the team to their historic 1999 FIFA World Cup championship. He guided the U.S. women from 1994 through 1999, collecting a 1996 Olympic gold medal in that run as well. He is the all-time wins leader and most successful coach in U.S. National Team history, with an overall record of 103-8-8. In 2012, DiCicco was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
DiCicco served in a variety of positions such as COO, Commissioner and Re-launch Chairman for WUSA from 2000-2004, and from 2009 to 2011 served as the head coach for the Boston Breakers of the WPS. In 2008, he coached the US Women’s U20 squad to the FIFA U20 World Cup Championship in Chile. DiCicco has worked as a soccer match and studio analyst for ESPN’s women’s soccer coverage since 2000, and has also served in that aspect for NBC during the Olympics.
Albion SC Olders Tryouts Set
Tryouts for olders (U15-U19) have been set for April 14 – May 7.
Any player that attends a tryout will need to fill out the Albion Waiver and Application.
