Leading Snack Brands Team Up With U.S. Soccer To Create A One-Of-A-Kind Mural
The Official Snacks of U.S. Soccer are joining together in 2015 to #PassTheLove, a movement to celebrate the spirit of soccer and encourage fans to share why they love the sport.
Mondelēz International, maker of RITZ, CHIPS AHOY and TRIDENT, is rallying fans across the country to share a message of support for the U.S. Women’s National Team as the squad prepares to compete in the world’s largest women’s international soccer tournament.
From 11:30 a.m. – Noon PT on Friday, May 1, Alex Morgan, along with soccer fans from across Los Angeles are invited to lend a hand (or kick) in creating a 6.5 x 18.5 foot U.S. Soccer mural. The mural will be filled in as consumers and Alex kick soccer balls at the canvas causing paint bursts.
At approximately 5:15 p.m. PT Cobi Jones, former USA and LA Galaxy midfielder, will participate and help peel back the stencil and reveal the mural.
WHEN/WHERE:
Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hermosa Beach (At the corner where Pier Ave. meets The Strand)
11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. PT
· Kickoff: 11 a.m.
· Mural unveiling with Cobi Jones: approx. 5:15 p.m.
HOW FANS CAN GET INVOLVED:
Giving Alex a high-five the morning she heads into training camp is one thing, but getting to be a part of an inspirational mural for the whole team takes the day to a new level. The Official Snacks of U.S. Soccer is inviting people to join us to show off just how passionate Los Angeles fans can be.
Here’s how:
· Fans who attend will get a chance to “Pass The Love” onto the mural
· The event is free and open to the public
· All fans must agree to be filmed/photographed
· Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult
Fans can also go to PassTheLove.com beginning May 15 to share a message of support from their social media channels directly to the Wall of Support. Posting a message allows visitors to automatically be entered to receive instant-win prizes, such as snacks, U.S. Soccer jerseys, gear and other giveaways.
