Youth Soccer News: FC Bayern Munich has announced the signing of 17-year-old U.S. international Taylor Booth on a two-and-a-half year contract. The attacking midfielder joins the Bundesliga club’s academy from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Real Salt Lake.
Booth will join the club’s U19 side managed by coach Sebastian Hoeneß. He will participate in the U23 winter training camp in Dallas, Texas, in order to prepare him for the second half of the season.
“We see a lot of potential in Taylor. He is a talented young player, and we look forward to working with him to develop his talent further,” said Jochen Sauer, FC Bayern Campus Manager.
The Utah native plays for the U19 U.S. Men’s National Team and represented his country in the U17 World Cup in India in 2017.
“I’m very happy with this next step in my career,” said Booth. “FC Bayern is one of the largest clubs in the world. Being here in Munich at the FC Bayern campus and taking the next steps in my development makes me very proud. ”
