Great Soccer Coaches Make A World Of Difference
WPSL Soccer News: Looking for another fabulous year on the soccer field – here are the new coaching assignments for the Boston Breakers who recently announced the coaching staff for the Boston Breakers Reserves ahead of the 2017 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) season kicking off in May.
Dushawne ‘Doc’ Simpson returns to the staff as head coach of the Boston Breakers Reserve team. Last season, he helped the Reserves, along with head coach Francesco D’Agostino, hoist the 2017 WPSL National Championship. Simpson is currently the director of coaching at NEFC-Breakers North Shore. His Pingree High School team has claimed three New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) titles in the last four seasons. Simpson played professionally for the Boston Bulldogs, Connecticut Wolves and New Hampshire Phantoms.
Former Boston Aztec/Breakers Reserves goalkeeper coach, Peter LeVasseur, holds every goalkeeper record at Salem State College. He is currently the goalkeeper coach at NEFC-Breakers North and Pingree School in Hamilton, Mass., as well as a director of Upper 90 Soccer Academy. LeVasseur trained with former Breakers goalkeeper Ashley Phillips and former NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year Michele Betos.
Ebbie Kodiat returns as an assistant coach for the Breakers Reserve squad. He led the Breakers to a final four appearance in his last assignment as a head coach. Kodiat is currently the girls director at NEFC-Breakers North Shore. Prior to his coaching career began, he played professionally for the Boston Bulldogs, New Hampshire Phantoms, and the India Men’s National Team.
