US Youth Soccer Boys Winter Interregional Concludes
The US Youth Soccer ODP Boys Winter Interregional comes to a close as top players in the United States put their skills to the test in front of college and U.S. Soccer scouts. Teams competed in matches versus other regional squads as the ODP program concludes the year in Florida.
Youth Soccer News: The annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys Winter Interregional came to a close on Sunday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The event welcomed more than 72 of the country’s top players selected from the US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional level evaluations. In each age group, players attended scheduled training sessions and also played in games against each other regional teams.
Highlights from Day 3:
2001s | Region I 2, Region II 1
The 2001 Region I boys recorded a 2-1 victory over Region II in the final day of competition. Juan Molina found the back of the net twice for Region I and the lone goal scorer for Region III was Noah Madrigal. Region I went a perfect 3-0-0 to conclude the Winter Interregional event.
2001s | Region IV 1, Region III 0
On the other end of the 2001 age group, Region IV edged Region III, 1-0. Cameron Weller netted for Region IV in the 2nd minute, and with a strong defensive line, Region IV held onto the lead until the end of play.
