Thousand Oaks Based Cal FC Latest Member of Rapidly Expanding UPSL
Soccer News: The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) announced its newest member team entry, Cal FC.
Cal FC is an established Pro Development Soccer club based in Thousand Oaks, California.
“We are very excited to become part of the UPSL for the upcoming 2015/16 winter season.” said Michael Friedman, Cal FC President. “We joined the UPSL because it has the best competition here in Southern California. The UPSL has done a tremendous job in creating such a formidable league.”
“Cal FC will be working closely with the soccer community and is looking forward to developing the talented players we have here in our area. Cal FC has provided a path for many to becoming a professional players.”
“We are very excited to announce the new entry of Cal FC,” said Yan Skwara, United Premier Soccer League Commissioner. “Cal FC are a very well know Southern California based club who recently made a big splash in the 2012 US Open Cup by beating the Portland Timbers (MLS) 1-0. Since then Cal FC has qualified for the US Open Cup in 2014, and 2015. We are excited Cal FC has become a UPSL member team and look forward to big things to come from Cal FC.”
The UPSL now consists of five conferences spanning across Southern and Central California, Arizona and Nevada; which include Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, Santa Clarita Valley, Kern County and the Inland Empire.
