League Communication Directly To Mobile Phones
Soccer News: Executive Director Matthew Madeira is pleased to announce that starting this Fall 2015 season all Cal North soccer families now have a new leading-edge communication resource direct to their mobile phones: a PUSH notification system that connects players, parents, and coaches directly to important news and announcements from their soccer club. This is an enhancement to the FREE mobile app that Cal North introduced for all of their affiliated leagues and clubs earlier this year.
Cal North, which serves all of Northern California, has partnered with Mobile Youth Sports Network (MYSN), a Silicon Valley company, to deliver this groundbreaking capability to Northern California’s youth soccer community. The notification system enables important announcements to be broadcast at any time directly to the mobile phones of players, parents, and coaches.
“This capability is a huge benefit to the regular operations of every soccer organization,” said Madeira. “Important messages about weather-related cancellations, field reassignments or other timely issues can be instantly delivered to teams and parents. Having this direct-to-phone channel of communication will mean that the soccer season will run more smoothly and be a better experience for every player and their family.”
The notification system is part of the FREE My Club Hub app on iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and is available to over 130 affiliated leagues and clubs throughout Northern California. Each soccer club can authorize Senders who are then able to instantly broadcast messages directly to their membership. Especially important is that these PUSH notifications do not use cell phone numbers or email addresses: this is an opt-in Privacy-Safe means of communicating, where the personal contact data of every reader is never disclosed or displayed.
