Cal North Announce Blue Star Sports as Official Technology Partner
Cal North — the largest youth soccer state association in the USA — announces Blue Star Sports as the organization’s Official Technology Partner for player registration, data management and back office management. Blue Star Sports is the technology partner servicing the needs of U.S. Soccer’s Development Academy, among other youth sports organizations.
Youth Soccer News: Cal North‘s Executive Director Matthew Madeira announced today that the US Youth Soccer state association is making Blue Star Sports its Official Technology Partner.
Blue Star Sports, with its roots in American soccer, is currently implementing many of the nation’s most complex systems integration projects for key partners such as U.S. Soccer, and US Youth Soccer. Bonzi was acquired by Blue Star Sports this past April and is the platform used by the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
Other sports partners include Little League International, USA Football and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
The Blue Star Soccer system and service delivery model provides integrated data, software, and business processes for an entire sports ecosystem including governing bodies, state associations, leagues, clubs, teams, tournament operators, and ultimately the coaches, parents, and athletes.
“We found Blue Star Sports to be unique in that they possess a proven track record of bringing together data from different organizations and systems in a user friendly way, and they are investing significantly in American soccer and Cal North,” said Madeira.
“We are honored to partner with Cal North to deliver our unique integrated soccer solution, and look forward to providing world class customer support for Cal North’s leagues, clubs, teams, as well as coaches, parents and athletes who play the sport we all love,” said Eric Frazier, President of Blue Star National Sports.
As part of the partnership agreement, Blue Star will provide Cal North with products and technical support for registration, risk management, coach licensing and payments. “Our partnership with Blue Star will include significant member benefits and include financial discounts to Cal North members,” said Madeira. “When we include the complete suite of technology products offered by Blue Star, their first rate customer service, and their shared benefits that come with the advanced technological relationship with U.S. Soccer, we feel this partnership will be a stepping stone to future advances for all youth soccer in Northern California.”
The move from their current provider Affinity Sports will not take place until after the current contract ends in January 2017, but Cal North has already begun work on the transition. “Cal North selected Blue Star Sports after a comprehensive review. We were not disappointed with the services from our current technology partner, but as the largest youth soccer state association in US Youth Soccer, we wanted to take advantage of Blue Star’s resources to mine our data and align ourselves with the services offered by other U.S. Soccer affiliates,” said Madeira.
