Think you can score on D.C. United’s Bill Hamid? Want to train with Chicago Red Stars’ Jen Hoy?
G-Form athletic impact protection is giving two lucky fans the chance to experience what it’s like to be a professional MLS or NWSL star – with Bill Hamid or Jen Hoy.
Meet the goaltending phenom Bill Hamid on August 27th and try to accomplish what very few in the sport have done – score against Hamid.
The following weekend, G-Form is giving two lucky consumers the chance to work out with Jen Hoy at Foster Fields on Saturday, September 2nd, immediately followed by dinner at a nearby establishment.
“We created these initiatives to give fans a chance to interact with these professional players. We are soccer fans ourselves and would’ve loved the chance to train with a pro player or shoot on a pro keeper when we were younger,” said Nick Surface, Global Marketing Manager of Team Sports G-Form.
“Soccer is a wonderful game that we all love and we make products to keep players safe and enjoying the sport. We thought these competitions would be a great way to have fun and also spread the word about G-Form shin guards and goalkeeper gear.”
D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid’s resume is second to none. The eight-year veteran has accumulated 46 career shutouts, was the Major League Soccer (MLS) Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014 and last year, captured the Gold Cup with the US Men’s National Team. Hamid has faced shots from the very best in soccer from around the world….and now it’s your turn.
“Bill is accepted as one of the best keepers in the MLS year in and year out, but he’s also a phenomenal person with plenty of personality. We originally connected because he was looking for protective gear while recovering from an injury, but after talking to him we wanted to bring him on to our athlete roster,” said Surface.
“Seeing him progress with the National Team and continue to shine is no surprise to us and we’re excited to keep him safe and on the field in our goalkeeper gear,” said Surface. “We’re also really excited to see if the competition winners can actually put one past him. It should be fun.”

The opportunity to take shots on the former All-Star will be preceded by two free tickets apiece to DC United’s matchup against the New England Revolution on Saturday night, August 26th at RFK Stadium. Hamid will be decked out in G-Form’s Pro-X Compression Shirt, Pro-X Compression Shorts and Pro-S Elite Shin Guards during the shootout.

After Hamid, G-Form is giving two lucky fans the opportunity to play with Chicago Red Stars’ Jen Hoy at Foster Fields on Saturday, September 2nd.
The next day, the grand prize winners can check Jen and her Chicago Red Stars teammates out, as they go head-to-head against the North Carolina Courage at Toyota Field in a critical regular season matchup between two of the top teams in the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League). Hoy will be protected thanks to G-Form’s Pro-X Compression Shirt, Pro-X Compression Shorts and Pro-S Elite Shin Guards.
“We partnered with Jen because she is a genuinely fantastic person and player. She is someone that has come up through the ranks and we love what she is doing,” said Surface.
“Her story is one we feel a lot of players can relate to. It’s not common to make the team and be a starter when you are picked in the last round of the draft, but that’s exactly what she’s done,” said Surface. “We’ve seen her love of the game, discipline, and commitment up close and we felt like any player could learn a lot from a training session with her.”
Entrants must be 18 or older to enter with contestants under the age of 18 being allowed to train with Jen if their parents enter and win. This contest runs through August 28th with winners to be selected and notified on August 29th.
*G-Form will provide the winners with a one night’s stay at a nearby hotel with ancillary charges not included. Transportation, parking, meals and any other expenses are winner’s responsibility.
