Xoloitzcuintles await quarterfinals opponent after Week 17 results
Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles Under-20 squad is in the playoffs.
Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente, commonly referred to as Xolos de Tijuana are the stellar professional soccer club across the border from San Diego and draw fans from both countries to watch their games.
The Xoloitzcuintes youth team finished the season with a scoreless tie Saturday at Puebla FC, earning another point in the LIGA MX 2018 Apertura table.
The Xoloitzcuintles finished the regular season with an 8-5-4 record and 30 points. The Under-20 team will await the rest of the Week 17 results to find out its final position in the standings to also determine its quarterfinals opponent.
The quarterfinals are a two-leg series with a home and away match. Matches will be played midweek (first-leg) and on the weekend (second leg).
UNDER-17 TEAM FINISHES 2018 APERURA
Club Tijuana’s Under-17 team finished the 2018 Apertura regular season with a 1-0 loss against Puebla FC on the road Saturday. Angel Robles scored for the home side in the 44th minute.
Coach Ildefonso Mendoza’s team finished the season with 21 points and a 6-8-3 record.
