Manager Diego Torres Wants His Team in the Next Round
Soccer News: Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles‘ Segunda Premier squad prepares for the next match in hand against University of Zacatecas as it looks to finish the season in one of the playoff positions.
The team is very committed in reaching our goals,” said manager Diego Torres this week as he prepares his boys for the away match in Zacatecas. “We have only grown stronger since the season started, we have picked up points the last two games and we need to finish strong in the final two matches of the season.”
The head coach stressed on the importance of a playoff appearance for his team.
“We know we have to give that extra bit of effort,” Torres said. “We know that the playoff is like a new tournament and anything can happen. We just need to make sure we finish in the top eight and be there.”
Club Tijuana is scheduled to face Universidad de Zacatecas in an away match in the Segunda Premier division of the Mexican Football Federation. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Pacific) on Saturday Nov. 7.
