Dallas Cup 2025 Ushers in New Era with Expanded Girls Division

More Teams. More Talent. More Global Competition.

Following the acquisition of the Dallas International Girls Cup, the prestigious tournament will feature a record-breaking 180+ girls’ teams, reinforcing its status as a premier stage for elite youth soccer worldwide.

The Dallas Cup, one of North America’s most prestigious international youth soccer tournaments, is set to make history this April with a groundbreaking expansion of its girls’ divisions. Having established itself as a premier event for elite boys’ soccer since its inception in 1980, the Dallas Cup took a significant step forward by reintroducing girls’ divisions in 2021. Following the acquisition of the Dallas International Girls Cup last summer, the tournament is primed for an unprecedented year.

The 2025 edition will see over 180 girls’ teams competing across ten age groups (U10-U19), all vying for the coveted Boot & Ball championship trophy. This marks a significant milestone in the tournament’s continued efforts to elevate the visibility and competitiveness of girls’ youth soccer globally.

A Truly International Competition

Staying true to its “Welcome World” motto, the 2025 Dallas Cup will feature teams from at least nine different nations, making it one of the most internationally diverse events of the year. Among the standout participants is the U17 Samoa Girls National Team, set to make its tournament debut after qualifying for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025™. The Australian School Girls also return to defend their U19 title, having made history in 2024 as the first international girls’ team to win a Dallas Cup championship. The New Zealand Secondary Schools Football Association will also send a strong squad, reinforcing the growing presence of Oceania nations in the tournament.

Europe, North America, and Beyond

On the club level, Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt U-17 girls’ team will return for their fourth consecutive appearance, aiming to build upon their runner-up finish in 2024. Other powerhouse teams from England, the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, and the United States will compete, showcasing the tournament’s continued global appeal.

With nearly 500 teams, including over 300 boys’ squads, converging in Dallas this April, the 2025 Dallas Cup promises to be one of the most exciting in the tournament’s history.
