PUMA Welcomes Marc Bartra to Team
Spanish international Marc Bartra has joined PUMA as the brand’s latest soccer ambassador for the evoPOWER boot franchise. Bartra joined BVB during the summer after spending his youth and beginning of his senior career at the acclaimed FC Barcelona.
Soccer News: Borussia Dortmund center back Marc Bartra has signed an endorsement partnership with PUMA. Bartra will join Marco Reus as a key player in BVB club campaigns as the global sports brand expands its commercial opportunities in Germany and other key soccer markets.
He will also serve as a soccer ambassador for the evoPOWER boot franchise, featuring in retail and digital initiatives from SS17.
“Moving to Dortmund this year was a fantastic move for me, and gave me a great insight into PUMA through the partnership they have with BVB,” said Bartra said. “I like their approach to football – to both product development and marketing, and they have some exciting things in the months ahead that I’m looking forward to being involved in. I’m very pleased to sign this endorsement deal with them.
Johan Adamsson, Global Director of Sports Marketing at PUMA added, “Marc Bartra was an excellent signing for Borussia Dortmund in June, and he’ll be an equally important ambassador to PUMA. We admire his style of play, the dedication he has to playing football at a high standard and the likeable personality he has off the pitch. He will help drive our retail business in both performance footwear along with BVB licensed product and we look forward to working with him in the seasons ahead.
Bartra played his youth career at FC Barcelona, where he played for the first team until June 2016 when he joined BVB.
The 25-year-old center back has played for the Spanish National Team at all levels, including 12 senior appearances.
