Dallas Cup has a 36 Year History of Showcasing Future Soccer Stars
The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup, the most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in the United States, is now accepting team applications from invited teams for the 2015 tournament.
The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup, the most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in the United States, is now accepting team applications for the 2015 tournament. Premier U13 through U19 youth teams from across the nation and from around the world can apply for the invitation-only tournament.
Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXVI will be held from March 29 through April 5, 2015.
Elite youth soccer clubs from around the globe have been competing in the Dallas Cup since its inception in 1980 and the youth soccer tournament averages more than 100,000 spectators during tournament week.

Over 430 FIFA World Cup games have been played by former tournament participants, and in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, one out of nineteen players had competed in the Dallas Cup as young men.
The incredible talent pool who have competed in the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup is impressive and many of these players are now professionals who today’s youth players look up to.
According to the Dallas Cup, all you had to do was watch this year’s World Cup in Brazil to see it. “Incredibly, at least one former Dallas Cup participant took the field (or supported from the team bench) during each match day of soccer’s top event,” says their website.
The United States was certainly well represented by Dallas Cup-exes; 11 of the 23 men on Jurgen Klinsmann‘s roster came through the Dallas Cup tournament.
Among that group of Dallas Cup alums competing in Brazil, eight started in at least one of United States’ four matches. Clint Dempsey, who participated in the Dallas Cup with the highly successful Texans youth club, scored just a few seconds into America’s run at Brazil.
Other Dallas Cup alums among the U.S. World Cup starters include: Jozy Altidore, DaMarcus Beasley, Kyle Beckerman, Alejandro Bedoya, Michael Bradley, Brad Davis and Omar Gonzalez.
Gonzalez holds a special place in Dallas Cup lore as a member of the history-making 2006 Texans group, which became the first team from the United States to capture a Dallas Cup Super
Teams seeking to compete in Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXVI must submit an application via the tournament’s website, www.DallasCup.com.
The application process will continue for U.S. based teams through November 21, and through November 30 for international teams.
