State Cup Being Played For the First Time in Two Years
New York Soccer News: The State Cup finals return to Stringham Park on the first weekend in June
The State Cup of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) is now underway as the first round was completed during the last two weekends. The girls played their first round games on the weekend of March 13 and 14 while boys played last weekend on March 20 and 21.
It’s a single-elimination tournament so the teams who advanced play the second round on the weekend of April 10 and 11.
The third round then takes place over the next two weekends with the boys playing on April 17 and 18 while girls compete on April 24 and 25.
The quarterfinals will be played across the state on Saturday, May 8 and the semifinals on Saturday, May 22. All rounds up to and including the semis are being played on teams’ home fields.
The State Cup finals will once again be played at a neutral site, Stringham Park in LaGrange, on the weekend of June 5 and 6.
“The LaGrange Soccer Club is excited to be hosting the State Cup finals in 2021. We’ve had the privilege of hosting the finals before and consider it an honor that Eastern New York has chosen Stringham Park as the location for their event,” said LaGrange Soccer Club President Kara Gadonniex. “Our fields are centrally located within the state association and allows it to host the entire event in one location in the beautiful Hudson Valley. We are looking forward to a great weekend of competitive soccer.”
